Quickstart

Add a site, run your first audit and read the results.

Your first audit

  1. 1

    Add a site

Open Sites, choose Add site and enter your homepage URL, for example https://example.com. The URL is normalised, so https://Example.com/ and https://example.com are the same site.

  2. 2

    Start an audit

Press Start audit. The live view shows every page fetched, every check and every AI step as it happens. A few hundred pages usually take several minutes.

  3. 3

    Read the score

The site's Overview shows the 0–100 score with technical, content, performance and structured-data subscores, and what cost the most points.

  4. 4

    Work through issues

The Issues tab lists every problem with its affected URLs, evidence and a plain-language fix, sortable by severity.

  5. 5

    Review the plan

The Recommendations tab, and Review in the sidebar for all sites, hold the analyst's fixes. Approve or reject each one.

Make the next audit better

  • Connect Google Search Console so recommendations are ranked by real clicks and impressions, and you get rankings and traffic checks. See [Search Console and Bing](/docs/search-console).
  • Set goals in the site's Agent tab, so the analyst works toward what matters to you. See [Chat and goals](/docs/chat-and-goals).
  • Schedule audits daily or weekly in the site's Settings, and get alerts when something regresses. See [Scheduling and alerts](/docs/monitoring).
If your site sits behind Cloudflare or another firewall and pages come back blocked, allowlist the AISEOBot user agent. Blocked pages are reported separately and never count against your score. See [our crawler](/bot).
